Coast2Coast Labor Consulting, LLC is a consulting agency focused on agricultural labor and the H-2A Temporary Agricultural Visa Program. We assist farmers, harvesting companies, farm labor contractors and other agricultural establishments with their H-2A visa petitioning needs. We handle all “paperwork” and interactions with the multiple government agencies involved.
We are located in central Florida but provide services to employers nation-wide. We also offer consular representation services at the United States Consulates in Mexico. These services include appointment-setting, preparation of documents for appointments, logistics planning and coordinating the arrival of your future employees.
We assist employers in seasonal workforce planning, logistics and compliance. We specialize in H-2A employment laws and offer onsite consulting visits for employers that consist of worksite observation, internal audit of records, and technical assistance. The goal of these visits is to ensure program compliance and help employers avoid negative results (including fines) from any governmental inspection or investigation.
Coast2Coast Labor Consulting, LLC has been assisting agricultural employers since 2018. As of October 2024, we have petitioned and obtained approval for over 42,300 H-2A work visas. Our client base includes employers from all over the country.
Our President and founder, Marisela Ruiz, manages all cases and approves and submits forms to the various government agencies involved. She is the liaison between the employer and the government for the H-2A process. Aside from Coast2Coast, she is part owner of a harvesting company that provides H-2A labor to farmers.
Prior to opening Coast2Coast, Ms. Ruiz oversaw the Florida H-2A and H-2B programs from 2016 to 2018. She was also the Florida State Monitor Advocate from 2010 to 2017. She ensured that services were afforded to migrant and seasonal farmworkers in the workforce system on a non-discriminatory basis. In her role, she oversaw the state’s farmworker outreach program and served as the statewide workforce complaint specialist, assisting farmworkers with job-related complaints and educating them on their rights. She was also a member of state and local anti-human trafficking work groups and coalitions. Ms. Ruiz’s work experience also includes the Miami-Dade County Farmworker Jobs and Education Program and the Disabled Farmworker Program (funded by Vocational Rehabilitation). She has served in the Community Affairs office of the Consulate General of Mexico in Miami and the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute in Washington, D.C. Her first job was a seasonal job at one of South Carolina’s largest peach farms. Her extensive experience grants her the ability to understand the agricultural community and the H-2A program on all levels and from every aspect. Rest assured, your workforce solution will be in great hands!
